Climate Tech Startup Raises Record $800M Series D
Carbon capture technology company secures massive funding to scale operations globally.

ClimateCore, a pioneering carbon capture and storage startup, has raised $800 million in Series D funding, the largest investment round in climate tech history. The funding will accelerate the company's mission to remove gigatons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
Revolutionary Technology
ClimateCore's direct air capture (DAC) technology uses advanced chemical processes to extract CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Unlike traditional carbon capture methods that work at emission sources, DAC can remove historical emissions already in the atmosphere.
The company's proprietary technology is 10x more energy-efficient than competing solutions, making it economically viable at scale. Each facility can capture up to 1 million tons of CO2 annually—equivalent to removing 200,000 cars from the road.
Expansion Plans
The new funding will support construction of 50 new facilities across North America and Europe over the next five years. ClimateCore has already secured partnerships with major corporations including Microsoft, Amazon, and United Airlines, who have committed to purchasing carbon removal credits.
CEO Maria Santos stated: "This funding validates that carbon removal is not just environmentally necessary—it's economically viable. We're building the infrastructure to help the world achieve net-zero emissions."
